Do you suffer from nasal congestion caused by non-allergic rhinitis?
KOS therapy developed by Chordate Medical (in Sweden) may be the right solution to help minimise your NAR symptoms and improve quality of life.
Many people suffer from a congested, runny nose and frequent sneezing. These are symptoms of a condition called rhinitis. Kinetic Oscillation Stimulation (KOS) is a treatment method designed to relieve you of the symptoms. The KOS method is a patient friendly non-surgical approach which does not require anesthetics or medication.
What is the KOS method ?
Chordate Medical has developed a treatment method called “Kinetic Oscillation Stimulation” or KOS for short.
The KOS method has been developed to treat people suffering from NAR (Non-allergic rhinitis). It does not require the use of surgery, anesthesia or pharmaceuticals.
The KOS method consists of inserting a small, non-inflated balloon into each nostril for ten minutes at a time. The balloon is gently inflated with air once inside your nostril to a pre-set pressure. The balloon is then set to gently vibrate at a specific frequency using a computer-controlled system.
A single treatment session can take approximately 30 minutes and will be carried out by your doctor or nurse in an out-patient clinic.
Although symptoms often improve with just a single treatment, studies have shown the treatment effect is increased if two consecutive treatment sessions are completed 4 weeks apart.
Testimonials from patient who have completed the KOS method
“The KOS treatment was very mild. I had thought it was going to be uncomfortable but the feeling of it was hardly perceptible. Straight after the treatment I felt much better and after some weeks had gone by suddenly I felt completely normal. My nose was no longer blocked.”
